Financial Well Being (FINP 1600) is held Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Financial well-being is designed to promote financial literacy among students in order to allow them to increase their overall financial, economic and social well-being. Consumers operate in a buyer beware marketplace and must be financially literate in order to achieve and maximize their own well-being and security. This course covers the basic financial planning process and will help students obtain a working knowledge of creating an investment portfolio, filing taxes, risk management, insurance, credit scores, credit reports, debt management, retirement planning and time value of money.

Healthy U (PBHL 1100) is held Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
This course is about the care and maintenance of you. How healthy we are throughout our lives depends in large part on our health behaviors. This course will help you to make healthier decisions in key areas including mental health and stress management, sexuality, addiction, diet, weight management and fitness. Through critical evaluation of information and its application to your personal wellness, it aims to support a lifelong healthier you.

Motion Graphics (ARTS 1990) is held Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
This course prepares students in the use of industry standard tools for motion graphics design, video composition and animation. Emphasis is placed on keyframe animation, basic motion design, audio integration, effects, and software presets. This course provides continuity with time-based media between traditional static graphic design courses and character animation. Students will work extensively with typography, video footage, still images, vector graphics, and audio assets to create advertisement promotions, and general video content.

Digital Music Creation (MUSI1990) is held Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
This course is for students interested in recording, producing, arranging, mixing and mastering music; using the laptop as a complete production tool. This course will step the student through the process of creating a complete and compelling musical production beginning with the very basics of digital audio workstations and ending with a collaboration with other musical creators.

Creative Writing (ENG 2310) is held Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
A workshop leading to the development of writing skills in poetry and fiction; may also cover such genres as drama, screenwriting, and creative non-fiction. Through readings and discussions on topics such as style, theme, and voice, students are encouraged to develop imaginative power and originality in creative writing.

Introduction to Podcasting (COMM 2190) is held Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
In this course students will learn the basics of narrative podcasting. This three-credit course examines the history of audio storytelling in the podcast medium and explores strategies for branding and listener engagement in addition to providing technical instruction on how to produce and distribute podcasts for purposes including advocacy, business, education, and journalism. Students will learn how to research and write scripts, interview guests, record and edit audio content utilizing sound-recording technology, and promote finished podcasts that appeal to target audiences.
